DM-1 HOBBYWEIGHT BOT

DM-1 was our first combat robot. It took 2nd place at the Great Plains Robot Showdown '03. With 5 wins and 2 losses. Builder Bill Kelly and driver Dustin Watkins.
This was accomplished through many hours (I lost count) of research, design, ordering parts, very hot machine shop work (over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in KC the summer of '03), testing and driving practice.
